Clean and simple design means it goes with practically any decor. It will keep any fallen ash from becoming a mess. And it seems to let the sticks burn for a longer time to enjoy the Palo Santo's wonderful scent! It's made from a good quality clay and doesn't seem like it would break easily. Also it's a bit bigger than I was expecting, not a real problem just worth noting.

This item was very carefully boxed. I was delighted that it was also carefully protected by styrofoam sheets.

At a meditation retreat, the teacher had one and used the palo santo sticks. So I decided to try it. WOW! I am in love! I used sage first, as I had that on hand. You just light the sage bundle and let it die down and the smoke funnels up through the "chimney", and you get a nice, light scent for quite awhile.
